Create a tender
Start with AI, from a blank form, or from a template.
Updated 7 October 2026
Choose how to start
- In the side menu, under Run a tender, press Create tender.
- Pick one of:
- Start with AI: describe what you're buying in plain English. The AI asks follow-up questions, then drafts the title, scope, supplier questions and evaluation criteria. You accept, edit or reject each part. You can attach an old spec or previous tender for reference.
- Start blank: fill in the tender form yourself. You can still ask the Assistant for help from the side panel.
- Start from a template: reuse the scope, requirements and criteria from a tender you've run before. Dates, documents and supplier bids are never copied.
Unfinished drafts appear under Carry on where you left off.
Fill in the tender form
- Title, Your reference (optional) and Category.
- Closing date and time: deadlines use your organisation's time zone and are enforced by the TenderLock server clock, never the user's device. Times are on the hour or half hour.
- Clarification deadline (optional): the last time suppliers can send questions. It cannot be after the closing date.
- Currency and Estimated value (optional).
- Responsible person and contact: who suppliers see as the contact.
- Description, scope and requirements.
Tick Also save this as a template for future tenders to reuse it later.
Credits
Drafts, editing and templates are free. Publishing a tender uses 100 credits, and AI drafting uses 5 credits per draft.
